Kathryn Yvonne "Bonnie" Tenborg, 84, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, 2012.
She was born Jan. 15, 1928, to Selmer and Florence (Ashley) Loken, in Fargo. The oldest of four children, Bonnie attended school in Verendrye and went on to earn her high school degree. Bonnie went to cosmetology school and made her living as a beautician, living primarily in Beaverton, Ore., and Seattle.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, George, who passed away on Sept. 28, 2012.
She is survived by her siblings: Nordis Nelson, of Velva, Delores (Arlie) Holte, of Eugene, Ore., and Stuart (Barb) Loken, of St. Michael, Minn.; nephews, Dennis (Sally) Nelson, of New Town, Laurel Ironroad, of Bismarck, Steven (Katie) Loken, of Appleton, Wis., and Doug (Meagan) Loken, of Otsego, Minn.
Found among Bonnie's effects was a handwritten note that concluded, "The purpose of life is to matter to count, to stand for something, to have it make some difference that we lived at all."
Her final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens of Minot.
