T. Pauline Brackelsberg

MOHALL - T. Pauline Brackelsberg, 94, Aurora, Colo., formerly of Mohall, and Minot, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at a health care facility in Aurora.

Pauline was born March 21, 1918, in Antler, a daughter of John and Selma (Jacobsen) Watland. She was raised on a farm near Antler and graduated from Antler High School.

Pauline and Neal H. Brackelsberg were married Dec. 1, 1937, in Bottineau. They rented a farm near Mohall for two years before purchasing their own farm 3/4 of a mile east of Loraine. Neal died in a tractor accident on May 30, 1951. Pauline moved to Mohall in 1951. where her oldest two boys, Paul and Harley, graduated from high school. She then moved to Minot, where Gary, Sherlene and Harry graduated from high school. In 1983, Pauline moved to Heather Gardens in Aurora, Colo., to be near two married sons, Gary (Suni) and Harry (Pam).

Pauline managed and rented her farm until the early 1980s to Ole Ommedal and Torlef Tengesdal. Pauline's proudest accomplishments were successfully raising her family of five children, all of whom married and blessed her with nine grandchildren whom she loved, adored, and cherished. And the grandchildren blessed her with 23 great-grandchildren, all of whom loved her dearly.

Family: sons, Paul, of Ames, Iowa, Harley (Connie Reinholt), Pflugerville, Texas, Gary, Aurora, Colo.; daughter, Sherlene (Ken Cameron), Enid, Okla.; and son, Harry (Pam Thornton), Brighton, Colo.; nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Pauline had numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Neal; all 10 siblings; two daughters-in-law, Suni and Phyllis; grandson, Cody; and great-grandson, Alec.

Celebration of Life: Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at 1 p.m., at Brose Funeral Home, Mohall.

Burial: Mohall Community Cemetery.

Visitation: The family will greet guests two hours prior to the celebration of life at the funeral home.
