There has been a lot of news stories told about impact of oil country. They forget that the native american community is also in the heart of the impact. We have had graffiti and racial slurs painted on our own trash cans and signs by people passing through on our roads.
This has always been our home and we will still be here when the oil field traffic leave. As people we have had to endure racist remarks but now we have to contend with it in our home land. It is sad that in 2012 we still have racism when there is so much going on in the world today to worry about.
