BISMARCK (AP) - The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the successful prosecution of whoever shot and wounded a bald eagle in northwest North Dakota.
The Bismarck Tribune reports that the immature bald eagle was shot near Crosby on Oct. 11 but was not killed. Witnesses reported the shooter or shooters were driving a white pickup.
Bald eagles are protected by the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and North Dakota state law.
