ND man arrested for skipping sentencing hearing

MINOT (AP) - A North Dakota man who pleaded guilty to stealing a police car has been arrested for failing to show up at his sentencing hearing earlier this week.

Eli Drags Wolf is charged in federal court with theft from an Indian tribal organization. It carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.

Drags Wolf is accused of stealing the squad car when an officer came to remove him from a residence in New Town. The incident happened in July 2011.

Drags Wolf failed to appear for sentencing on Monday. A new sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 29 in Minot.
