SURREY - According to Pete Schneider, chief of police for Surrey, a 3-year-old was run over by a pickup when she darted in front of it two blocks west of Surrey School at 3:10 on Wednesday.
She was brought to Trinity Hospital in Minot by ambulance and treated for cuts and bruises. The incident is still being investigated. No charges are being brought against the driver as of yet.
Schneider reminds drivers "to use extreme caution when children are present before and after school."
