Ackerman-Estvold Engineering and Management Consulting Inc. has hired Abbi Dorn as project manager. Dorn's expertise lies in the area of water resources. She earned a bachelor of science degree in biological systems engineering in 2002 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is also a sediment and erosion control Level II certified design professional. Dorn previously worked for Michael Baker Jr. Inc. in Atlanta as the regional service center's program manager for the FEMA floodplain mapping programs in the state of Alabama.
Ackerman-Estvold Engineering and Management Consulting Inc. has hired Lee Koppy as project manager. He earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 1998 from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and is currently pursuing a masters degree in business administration, with a focus on project management, from the University of Phoenix. His primary focus will be in the areas of land development and municipal engineering.
Steven A. Lautt has joined the law firm of Pringle & Herigstad P.C. as an associate. Lautt is a native of Minot and graduated from Our Redeemer's Christian High School in 2003. He received his bachelor's degree in political science, history, and biblical and religious studies from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kan., in 2007. He earned his juris doctor degree from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kan., in 2012. His areas of practice include oil and gas, environmental, civil litigation and real estate law.
Mike Seminary has joined Houston Engineering Inc. as their new business development manager. Seminary is a native of Fargo and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration and has more than 30 years of business development and client relations experience. Seminary previously worked at Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson Engineering in the same capacity.
Bremer Investment Services has hired Erin Sund as a Raymond James financial advisor. Sund has worked in the financial services industry for more than four years. In her new role at Bremer, she will work to assist clients in the Minot area with all of their investment needs.
Prior to joining Bremer, Sund worked at Capital Financial Services in Minot as a registered principal. Sund, a native of Berthold, has a bachelor's degree in finance from Minot State University and is finishing up a master's of science degree in management this December, also from Minot State University. Sund holds the series 7, 24 and 66 licenses.
