DURBIN (AP) - A search for a suspect in an injury car accident ended in a Cass County sugar beet field.
Local and state authorities searched more than three hours Sunday night for a man seen running from the crash scene on a county road near Durbin. County deputies, Highway Patrol troopers and local firefighters used all-terrain vehicles, an airboat and a police dog in the search.
A Cass County deputy eventually spotted the suspect in the field and arrested him. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The passenger who was thrown from the car and injured in the rollover crash was flown to a Fargo hospital with undisclosed injuries.
