Mallory Carlson and Joshua Woodard announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage. Their parents are Arvid and LaVonne Carlson, Burlington, and Michael and Debbie Woodard, of Baxter, Minn.
She graduated from Burlington High School and earned her master's of occupational therapy degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
He graduated from Brainerd High School in Brainerd, Minn., and earned his bachelor's of science degree in aeronautics from UND.
The wedding is Oct. 6 in Hope Church, Grand Forks. The couple will be living in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he is attending pilot training at Sheppard Air Force Base, and she is working as an occupational therapist.
