BENEFIT BREAKFAST TO BE HELD SUNDAY FOR MINOT WOMAN A benefit breakfast will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church, 215-3rd Ave. SE, for Carla Lee, of Minot. A silent auction and bake sale, along with music and games will also be a part of the event.
During the past 14 years Lee has endured repeated chemotherapy, radiation and cryoblation in order to achieve remission of her cancer, only to have the cancer re-occur in other areas. She is currently being treated with two different chemotherapies simultaneously, which causes increased side effects. She continues to work as a medical technologist despite the side effects in order to pay medical expenses.
Application for funds from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has been made.
People who are unable to attend the event may send donations to the Lee Cancer Benefit, Gate City Bank, Broadway and 11th Avenue SW, Minot, ND 58701.
