BISMARCK (AP) - It's decision time for an assortment of proposals to cut North Dakota property taxes.

The North Dakota Legislature's interim Taxation Committee is likely to vote on property tax reduction bills Tuesday.

There are proposals to cut taxes for all types of property, and to restrict tax cuts to North Dakota homeowners.

Another bill would reduce the property taxes of a homeowner if he or she is 65 years old or older.

Any bills approved by the committee will be introduced in the Legislature next year.

North Dakota lawmakers say the rush to cut property taxes wasn't slowed by the defeat of an initiated measure to abolish property taxes.
