Minot Prairie Quilt Guild trunk show

August 31, 2012
Minot Daily News

The Minot Prairie Quilt Guild continues its 30th anniversary celebration on Friday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 8, at Vincent United Methodist Church's community room.

Mary W. Kerr, an AQS certified quilt appraiser, lecturer and author, will present an elaborate quilt trunk show. Although she resides in Virginia, Kerr has family in Minot who were directly affected by the Souris River flood. Her forum, "Rays of Hope," is being presented as her contribution of hope for a better and stronger Minot community.

The show includes more than 100 quilts on display, starting at 7 p.m. on Sept. 7. Admission is $5 and includes refreshments.

Kerr will also teach a workshop on Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $35 and includes the class, lunch and snacks. Pre-registration required by calling Bev at 839-6635.
