WESTERN N.D. SYNOD GIFTS EVENT PLANNED IN MINOT The next Western N.D. Synod Growing in Faith event will be Sept. 15 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1800 Hiawatha St., Minot. The event begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude by 3:30 p.m.

Guest speaker, David Lose, will lead a discussion on "Making Sense of Scripture," a book which invites the reader to engage in a "kitchen table" conversation regarding seven major questions about the Bible.

Lose is director of the Center for Biblical Preaching and workingpreacher.org. at Luther Seminary. He has authored several books, including "Making Sense of Scripture."

The registration fee is $10 and includes lunch.

Registration is requested by Sept. 11. Checks may be mailed to WND Gifts, in care of Jan Zook, P.O. Box 101, Bowbells, ND 58721. The first 75 people to register will receive a copy of "Making Sense of Scripture."

IMMANUEL BAPTIST SWITCHING TO FALL SCHEDULE SEPT. 9 Immanuel Baptist Church, 1615-2nd St. SE, will switch to its fall schedule Sept. 9.

Sunday school for all ages will begin at 9:15 a.m. and worship will be at 10:30 a.m. The Wednesday evening programming will begin Sept. 12 with a family supper at 5:45 p.m., followed by classes for all ages at 6:30 p.m. and adult choir practice at 8 p.m.
