BISMARCK (AP) - A North Dakota man has pleaded guilty to attacking two women.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon announced Monday that 21-year-old Lionel R. Jewett OF Fort Yates pleaded guilty to counts of assault with intent to commit murder, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and two counts of burglary.
Prosecutors say Jewett attacked two women in January of this year. Jewett attacked one woman with a garden hoe and kicked both women. He also stole a vehicle, tools and some money from a local church in March and October of last year.
Sentencing is set for Dec. 10.
