BISMARCK (AP) - A North Dakota man accused of selling $1,400 worth of painkillers to undercover agents has pleaded guilty in federal court.
James Grant, of Fort Yates, is charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute morphine. He faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
Authorities say Grant sold the morphine pills from his house in the so-called Boot Hill District in Fort Yates on two separate occasions. The first sale was for $500 for five pills on April 21. The second sale was for $900 for 10 pills on May 22.
Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 17 in Bismarck.
