The Minot YWCA seeks women golfers for its second-annual YWCA Benefit Golf Tournament to be held Aug. 13 in Garrison.
The YWCA looks to sign up at least nine teams of four golfers in the women's four-person scramble . The $60 cost per golfer or $240 per team includes lunch and prizes.
The tournament was first held in 2010. Last year's event wasn't held due to the flood. This year, the YWCA will award a traveling trophy. A perpetual plaque with names of the annual champions will be on display at the YWCA.
Other prizes include gift certificates or gift packages from Scheels, Video Magic, Home Sweet Home, Interiors Plus, Olive Garden, Applebees, Homesteaders Restaurant, Gourmet Chef, Thrifty White Drug, Minot State University, Tesoro, Curves, MBS Studio and Taco John. Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams, closest to the pin, longest drive and longest putt.
The best-ball, 18-hole tournament begins at 10 a.m. at the Garrison Golf Club.
Pre-register by Aug. 6 by calling Debbie at 721-3562. The YWCA will match golfers to form teams or golfers can register as a team. Team sponsors also are sought. To sponsor a team, call 721-3562.
