Well here we go again a "temporary" tax increase. To me this is an outright lie. There is no plan for this to be temporary any more than when they raised it from 1 percent to 1.5 percent or 1.5 percent to 2 percent. The plan is and always was for these to be permanent! Right now it takes more than a full month's take home pay just to pay my property taxes. Any new businesses or home owners will get a break paying little to nothing for year (if not decades) while the rest of us pay for their streets and sewers. Believe me they will be back for a request to make this permanent and then increase it again.
