FARGO (AP) - A Cass County prosecutor is revisiting a Fargo homicide last year in which no charges were filed.
Twenty-eight-year-old Tremaine Settles was stabbed to death during a fight at an apartment last Sept. 11. No charges were filed against the man alleged to have stabbed him because authorities said they could not prove Billy Oliver was not acting in self-defense.
Assistant State's Attorney Leah Viste tells The Forum newspaper that she is reviewing the inactive case to try to address questions and concerns raised by Settles' family.
Settles' mother, Margaret Brown, says she wants the case to go to trial to give her some peace.
