God doesn’t change

Brian Stein, Minot

This letter is in response to the letter written by Ruth Skjerseth that appeared in the June 3 edition of The Minot Daily News.

The worst thing a Christian can do for someone in the homosexual lifestyle who is "in love" is justify that lifestyle. Is it more loving to tell someone that what they are doing is wrong even though it may make them angry, or let those "in love" continue in that lifestyle and go to hell?

What God condemned in the Old Testament (past), he condemns in the New Testament (today). Hebrews 13:8 states, "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever." God does not change. God said in the Old Testament that homosexuality is an abomination and it is still today. We cannot ignore some of the things in the Old Testament just because we don't like them.

Yes, God is a loving God, but He is also a just God. There is more in the Bible about the wrath of God than about the love of God. God will judge sin and he'll start in the church (1 Peter 4:17).
