FIRST BAPTIST XYZ TO MEET THURSDAY First Baptist Church XYZ, a senior adult ministry for people in the 50-plus age group, will meet Thursday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 200-3rd St. SW.

A musical program, featuring the XYZ Quartet, along with solos, duets and praise and worship, will be presented.

Refreshments will be served.

BENEFIT BREAKFAST TO BE SERVED SUNDAY Minot Vocation Club, people who pray for and help support financially religious vocations, will serve a benefit breakfast Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the dining room of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 707-16th Ave. SW.

Biscuits and gravy, french toast, sausage and scrambled eggs will be served.

Proceeds of the freewill offering will support seminarians in the Diocese of Bismarck.

SECOND ORDER OF COOKBOOKS RECEIVED Vincent United Methodist Quilters have received a second order of their cookbook, "We Sew But We Can Cook, Too." The cookbooks are $10 and are available at the church office at 1024-2nd St. SE. You may call the church office, 838-4425, to reserve your copy. Copies may also be purchased at the church office.

Proceeds from the sale of the cookbooks go to purchase materials for quilts made by the Sowers of Love. The quilts are given to various organizations including the Trinity Cancer Care Center, the VA Hospital in Fargo and the Veterans Home in Lisbon. The quilts also go to high school graduates who belong to Vincent church, flood survivors participating in the RAFT program and members of the church dealing with cancer.

SWEDISH MEATBALL DINNER TO BE SERVED A Swedish meatball dinner will be served April 29 from 10:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, 700-16th Ave. SE.

Proceeds of the freewill offering will be used for Our Redeemer's Church senior high youth mission trip.

WORSHIP CENTER, KITCHEN OF CHURCH TO BE DEDICATED The remodeled worship center and kitchen of Bible Fellowship Church at 1720-4th Ave. NW will be dedicated April 29 at 4 p.m.

A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the dedication ceremony.

RUMMAGE/BAKE SALE SCHEDULED The women of Bread of Life Lutheran Church will host a rummage/bake sale April 28 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church, 1415-17th Ave. SW. Bag sales will be from noon to 1 p.m.

Coffee and homemade caramel rolls will be served in the morning with a noon lunch beginning at 11 a.m.

Proceeds of the event will be used for scholarships for youth attending Bible camp.

CHURCH CELEBRATING CAMP METIGOSE SUNDAY First Lutheran Church will celebrate Camp Metigoshe Sunday this weekend during services today at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 8:30 and 11 a.m.

Melissa Reinhart, program director at Metigoshe Ministries, will talk about plans for the upcoming summer camp season and present the theme for the summer during the services.

Student campers, family and grandparent campers may sign up for camp Sunday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Mission Fair in the church at 120-5th Ave. NW.

GROUP HOSTING SPEAKER FROM JEWISH VOICE MINISTRIES Jack Zimmerman, of Jewish Voice Ministries, will be the guest speaker at the Business Men's Fellowship meeting Thursday at 11:50 a.m. at the Royal Fork in Minot.

Zimmerman, a former stand-up comedian, is now an ordained Christian pastor and a Messianic Jewish rabbi. He has taught Bible classes throughout the United States and at theological universities in Russia and the Ukraine.
