CHURCH EXCEEDS FUNDRAISING GOAL The Congregational United Church of Christ, 430 N. Broadway, has exceeded its fundraising goal of $10,000 for Heifer International. Gifts since the Feb. 3 dinner have created a fund of $12,000.

Heifer International was chosen by the Minot church as a mission project five years ago because it helps people trapped in poverty by giving them livestock. The project teaches the recipients how to care for the livestock, how to profit from the gift and how to share the fruits of the gifts with others.

Donations can still be made toward the project by calling 839-1064 or by mailing a check to Heifer International, 430 N. Broadway, Minot, ND 58703.
