DATE SET FOR ANNUAL RUMMAGE/BAKE SALE Vincent United Methodist Women will hold a rummage/bake sale on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church at 1024-2nd St. SE.

A lunch of soup and sandwiches will be served from 11 a.m. until gone. Homemade sweet treats will be served all day. Bag bargains will be available from 1 to 2 p.m.

Customers are asked to use the south entrance to the church.

CAMPUS MINISTRY GROUP TO HOST FAT TUESDAY EVENT ?Lutheran Campus Ministry will host a Fat Tuesday/ Mardi Gras Dessert Night Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. in the Parish Center of First Lutheran Church, 120-5th Ave. NW.

The evening will include dessert tasting and entertainment. A freewill offering will be received to support Lutheran Campus Ministry and its ministry on the campus of Minot State University.

DATE SET FOR WELCA LENTEN BREAKFAST IN BOWBELLS The Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Bowbells will have their annual Lenten breakfast Feb. 25 at 9:30 a.m.

The morning will include prayers, singing, a guest speaker, door prizes and a breakfast.

The suggested offering for the morning is a non-perishable gift to the local St. Stephen's Food Pantry.

CHILD EVANGELISM GROUP TO HOLD ANNUAL BANQUET Child Evangelism Fellowship will hold its annual banquet March 1 in the State Fair Center Theater Room. Robert Morgan, who has written more than 25 books, will be the guest speaker.

The 2011 flood forced CEF to cancel many of its Minot-area programs but local volunteers took time to hand out more than 8,000 copies of a crisis booklet, "Do You Wonder Why?" in the weeks following the flood. The banquet program will include a report on the booklet distribution effort.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m. A freewill offering will be received.

SPAGHETTI DINNER PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT RETREAT CENTER St. Mark's Lutheran Church and St. Mark's Lutheran Youth Fellowship will host a spaghetti dinner for Shepherd's Hill Retreat, located at St. John, on Sunday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The dinner will be served in the Minot church at 2209-4th Ave. NW.

Proceeds of the freewill offering will support the programs at the retreat center which provides a Christ-centered year-round outdoor ministry for children and youth of all ages.

LUTEFISK, MEATBALL DINNER SCHEDULED IN WILLISTON CHURCH The annual lutefisk and meatball dinner in the Fellowship Hall of First Lutheran Church, Williston, will be Feb. 25 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., or until all food is gone.

There will be delivery service until 3 p.m. Take-out meals will be available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. People wanting delivery service or take-out meals should call 572-6363 the day of the dinner.

Tickets $15 for adults, $6 for students through junior high school and $2 for preschoolers may be purchased in advance in the church office Monday through Friday. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the dinner.

THEME SET FOR LENTEN STUDY GROUPS AT FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH Lenten services in First Lutheran Church, 120-5th Ave. NW, will begin Wednesday at 7:15 p.m., with the tradition imposition of ashes, and continue through March 28. The theme for Lent 2012 is "This Is Most Certainly True Built on a Sure Foundation."

In addition to the adult education classes on Sundays at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday lunch-hour studies and possibly a Saturday "coffee shop" study will be offered. A study book will be used.

Each week different foundations of the Lutheran faith will be addressed. They will include an introduction, "This Is Most Certainly True Built on a Sure Foundation," on Wednesday; 10 Words of Life the 10 Commandments on Feb. 29; 3 Times Over the Apostles' Creed on March 7; How to Pray the Lord's Prayer on March 14; From Death to Life, Food for Travelers Baptism and Holy Communion on March 21; and Going It Together The Church on March 28.

FIRST BAPTIST XYZ TO MEET THURSDAY First Baptist Church XYZ, a senior adult ministry for people in the 50-plus age group, will meet Thursday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 200-3rd St. SW.

A guitar and singing musical program will be presented by Bill Putnam of Minot.
