Harlan Rodney Wahl, age 59, of Miles City, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, in Lewistown, Mont.
Harlan was born Jan. 23, 1953, in Garrison, N.D., the son of Reinhard and Winnifred (Kurtz) Wahl. Harlan attended grade school and graduated from high school in Minot, N.D. In 1989, he moved to Miles City and worked for Miles City Sanitation Company for several years. Due to an illness, Harlan was forced to retire. He loved to cook as well as get outdoors and fish.
Harlan is survived by his two sisters: Myrna Gathman of Minot, N.D. and Jean (Mark) Busch of Minot.; his five brothers: Randy Wahl of Minot, Kent Wahl of Minot, Alden Wahl of Miles City, Mont., Terry (Tammy) Wahl of Miles City, Mont., and Neal (Jenniffer) Wahl of Minot. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Bonnie Wahl and his two brothers: Willard Wahl and Wayne Wahl.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14, with the family receiving friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Burial will take place in the Custer County Cemetery.
