The Minot Heritage Singers annual Variety Show will be held Feb. 15-18 and 23-25 at the Vegas Hotel in Minot. Ticket sales open on Saturday at the MACA office located in the South Broadway Plaza, 1809 South Broadway across from Ryan Chevrolet. Walk-in sales will begin at 9 a.m. with phone sales beginning at 10 a.m.
The Variety Show has become a signature event on Minot's community calendar, meant to defeat the end of winter doldrums with hot food, good music and plenty of laughs. Each year the comedy and music are built around a "secret theme" that Heritage Singers cannot reveal until opening night. This year's opening night, an extra seventh show, will be a special performance for Minot flood relief with all proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction to be given to a worthy flood relief cause. The traditional "Ladies Night" will follow the opener in its usual Thursday night slot.
Community members are encouraged to get their tickets early as most of the shows sell out quickly. Ticket prices are $20 per person and include the traditional pasta meal plus two hours of entertainment. A silent auction is also held each night with bids taken before the show and at intermission.
