Travis Smith and Sara Cox were married Nov. 11 on the North Shore in Honolulu, Hawaii. Their parents are George and Diane Smith, Minot, and Bill and Karen Philion, Minot.
Attendants for the couple were Liam Cox, George Smith, Karen Philion, Michelle Hemstad and Disa Salander, all of Minot; and Blake Hanson, Bismarck.
They will celebrate their marriage at a reception and dance Saturday, Dec. 31, in the Sleep Inn of Minot. Invitations are not required for the dance, which starts at 8 p.m.
Sara and Travis both graduated from Minot State University. Sara is a physical education teacher at Longfellow Elementary in Minot and Travis is a history teacher at Memorial Middle School at Minot Air Force Base. Both are currently working on their master's degrees.
