Minot Community Ed classes set

Class registration for the Minot Public School District's Community Education classes will begin at 8 a.m. Jan. 9 at the Minot Adult Learning Center, 1101 - 37th St. SE. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Among some of the classes that will be offered are welding, introduction to computer and the Internet, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Docs and More. In the Mind, Body and Self category, classes include Zumba, Conditioning Swimming, a social and line dancing class, and a Drop in on Exercise class that lets people sample one session of any exercise class listed for a $5 fee; and a nutrition class.
In the artisans' area, classes include a watercolor class, a class on learning how to make your own tote bags, a class in basic sewing and a class on how to make your own fishing rod.
Adult and basic swimming lessons for children and adults will also be offered.
