Home tour gets creative

Anamoose homeowners show off their talents

ANAMOOSE Five homes will be featured in the Anamoose Holiday Tour of Homes Sunday.

Bonnie and Gary Dockter at 305 Main Street will display an extensive Santa collection in their turn-of-the-century home.

Barbara Martin will display her Christmas Village collection that takes up an entire room in her four-year-old home at 409 Main Street.

Submitted Photo - - The rural home of Calvin and Mardelle Helm will feature a snowman collection in the Anamoose Tour of Homes.

Alyce and Vernon Heer at 407-1st St. W. will show a large quilt collection and three rooms of an extensive John Deere collection.

Tony Jr. and Barbie Martin will give visitors a contemporary Christmas experience at their home at 103 F Ave. W.

Mardelle and Calvin Helm, located on the outskirts of Anamoose at 70 H Ave. W., will display an extensive snowman collection.

In addition to the tour from 3 to 6 p.m., there will be a dessert and beverage bar and holiday bake sale at the Barbara Martin home from 2:30 to 7 p.m. Guests do not need to take the tour to visit the bake sale or dessert and beverage bar.

Advance tickets are $10 and can be obtained in Anamoose at First State Bank, Heringer Lumber and Sarah's Grooming; in Drake at Hair Oasis, Cenex and United Community Bank; in Harvey at First State Bank, KHND Radio, Sarah's Grooming, Que Sera, Mack's Farm Center and HAV-IT.

Tickets will be available on the day of the tour at the Martin home at 409 Main Street for $12.
