Efforts of the Minot Area Homeless Coalition to assist flood-displaced residents received a boost Oct. 5 with a $1,000 donation from the Minot Safety Association.
The coalition has been providing a variety of services to residents who have found themselves homeless due to flooding at the end of June. The gift from the safety association will go to aid those activities.
The association provides guidance to professionals who are responsible for safety in their respective organizations. It offers networking and information to help members stay on top of best practices and regulatory compliance issues and develop a communitywide safety culture.
