MINOT BAPTIST CHURCH TO HOST GUEST SPEAKER SUNDAY Jeff Siegel, a representative of Chosen People Ministries, will be speaking at Minot Baptist Church, 500-46th Ave. NE, Sunday during the 6 p.m. service. His program will be "God's Roadmap to Peace: a Jewish Believer's Perspective."
Chosen People Ministries is a mission that was founded in 1894 by Leopold Cohn, a Hungarian rabbi who came to believe that Jesus was the Messiah of Israel. Its mission is to make the message of the Messiah more accessible to Jewish people and also to help Christian believers achieve a greater appreciation of the Jewish basis of their own faith traditions.
A freewill offering will be received.

GRANVILLE CHURCH TO HOLD BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER OCT. 23 First Lutheran Church of Granville will hold a breakfast fundraiser on Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Granville Community Center. A quilt auction and bake sale will be during the breakfast.
Proceeds of the freewill offering will go to the church general fund.

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH SETS DATE FOR FALL BAZAAR A fall bazaar will be held Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in First Presbyterian Church, 1000-3rd St. NE.
Items available for sale will include sewing and craft items, baked goods, books and white elephant items. There will also be a raffle, silent auction and country store.
A knoephla soup luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
DEERING CHURCH SETS DATE FOR BAZAAR The Deering Lutheran Church bazaar will be held Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Deering Community Center.
Crafts and baked goods will be sold and a raffle will be held for a quilt, gas and a box of steaks.
A lunch of soup, chili, sandwiches and pie will be served.
DATE SET FOR ANNUAL LUTEFISK, LEFSE AND MEATBALL DINNER IN VELVA The 20th annual lutefisk, lefse and meatball dinner will be held Oct. 23 from noon to 6 p.m. in Oak Valley Lutheran Church, Velva.
The cost will be $15 for adults and $8 for youth ages 6 to 12. There will be no charge for children age 5 and under. Tickets will be available at the door.
Take-out meals will also be available.
A bazaar featuring crafts, baked goods, produce, etc. will be held in conjunction with the dinner.
The dining room is handicapped accessible.
MINOT COUPLE TO GIVE 'TOUR' OF ISRAEL DURING MEETING Bill and Ellen Lind, of Minot, will give a presentation about their tour in Israel this past summer during the monthly meeting of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church PrimeTimers on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall, 700-16th Ave. SE.
Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
ANNUAL ROAST BEEF SUPPER SCHEDULED IN BOTTINEAU CHURCH A roast beef supper will be served Oct. 23 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in United Parish church, Bottineau.
The cost of the meal will be $8 for adults, $5 for college students and $4 for students in grades 1 to 12. Preschoolers will not be charged. There will be a maximum charge of $30 per family. Take-out meals will be available for $8.50. For deliveries, call 228-2800. There will be no out-of-town deliveries.
A silent auction and youth bake sale will be held in conjunction with the supper.
