KC COUNCIL 4894 TO HOST BREAKFAST ON SEPT. 11 Knights of Columbus Council 4894 will host a breakfast Sept. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the fellowship room of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 707-16th Ave. SW. New parishioners will be honored at the breakfast.

Scrambled eggs, sausage, French toast, pancakes and fruit will be served.

Proceeds of the freewill offering go toward upkeep of kitchen equipment at the church.

BEGINNING EXPERIENCE TO BEGIN SESSIONS SEPT. 8 Beginning Experience, a peer ministry program for divorced, widowed or separated people, will begin a 10-session series Thursday at 7 p.m. in Immanuel Baptist Church, 1615-2nd St. SE.

DIVORCECARE SESSIONS TO BEGIN SEPT. 12 ?DivorceCare, a weekly seminar/support group for people who are separated or divorced, will begin Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. in West Minot Church of God, 1105-16th St. NW. People should use the west entrance.

OUR REDEEMER'S CHURCH TO HOST 'FREE FAMILY FUNFEST' ON WEDNESDAY A "Free Family Funfest" is planned Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the parking lot of Our Redeemer's Church, 700-16th Ave. SE.

There will be free food, carnival games, live music, air games like a bounce castle, sumo wrestling, a double-inflated slide and gladiator jousting ring, a dunking booth, plus more. A special dodgeball tournament is planned in the gymnasium for junior and senior high youth. Door prizes will be given away.

Floating lanterns will be released at the conclusion of the event to symbolize that even in the darkness of the flood, there's hope.

Donations will be received to help flood victims.

FINANCIAL PLANNING COURSE TO BE HELD IN ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH Zion Lutheran Church, 1800 Hiawatha St., will host a 13-week Financial Peace University course beginning Sept. 12 at 6 p.m.

OUR SAVIOR CHURCH TO HOST COMMUNITY EVENT SEPT. 11 ?Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3705-11th St. SW, will host a community event on Sept. 11 beginning with a free lunch at noon. A concert/program will follow at 1 p.m.
