SEVEN DAY JONES TO PERFORM DURING YOUTH OUTREACH EVENT A free youth community outreach concert will be held Sunday in the field just north of Kmart, across the street from First Assembly of God, 1805-2nd St. SE.

Food will be served at 6 p.m. and a concert by Seven Day Jones, a group from Bismarck, will begin at 7 p.m.

ALL-CITY MASS TO BE HELD THURSDAY IN MINOT An all-city Mass will be held Thursday at 5:15 p.m. in Bishop Ryan High School.

Bishop Paul A. Zipfel, of the Diocese of Bismarck, will preside at the Mass.

AWANA SESSIONS TO BEGIN SEPT. 7 AT FIRST BAPTIST First Baptist Church of Minot will begin its Awana Club meetings Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Awana is a nondenominational ministry for children who are age 3 by Aug. 31 and youth through the 12th grade. The Bible-centered program will be held every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. during the school year in the church at 200-3rd St. SW.

BEREAN BAPTIST TO HOST REVIVAL SERVICES Berean Baptist Church will host revival services with evangelist Dave Webster as preacher Sept. 4-7 in the Carnegie Center, 105-2nd Ave. SE. Revival services will be at 6 p.m. on Sept. 4 and at 7 p.m. the remaining days.

Webster, who is pastor of Beulah Land Baptist Church in Prince Albert, Sask., holds revival tent meetings in Canada every summer and fall.

NEW SERMON SERIES TO START SUNDAY IN MINOT CHURCH Pastor Dan Andrus will begin a new sermon series, based on the book of James, Sunday in North Hill Baptist Church, 524-21st Ave. NW.

Bible study for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship at 11 a.m.

CALVARY ALLIANCE SETS DATE FOR AWANA BLAST-OFF EVENT ?Calvary Alliance Church, 715-20th Ave. NW, will hold an Awana Blast-off event Sept. 7 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., with free pizza, registration and a balloon launch.

Awana is a Bible-based program for children in kin-dergarten through the sixth grade. Children play games, earn prizes and learn God's Word during the sessions.

CARING FOR PEOPLE IN CRISIS SEMINAR TO BE OFFERED The Rev. Glenn Merritt from Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod World Relief and Human Care will be the guest speaker for a Caring for People in Crisis seminar Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3705-11th Ave. SW.

Merritt is a former police officer with critical incident training from the FBI and FEMA.
