SUMMER SCHEDULE TO RESUME AT LITTLE FLOWER CHURCH The regular summer schedule for Little Flower Catholic Church, 800 W. University Ave., will resume today with Mass at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the church.

The Sunday morning Mass, which was held in the Knights of Columbus Clubrooms during the flood evacuation time, has been discontinued.

MAJESTY TO PRESENT CONCERT IN MINOT Bethel Free Lutheran Church, 530-22nd Ave. NW, will host Majesty in concert Wednesday at 7 p.m. The concert will include a number of songs, two testimonies of faith and a brief message.

Majesty is a music ministry team from the Association Free Lutheran Bible School in Minneapolis.

The concert is free, but a freewill offering will be received for the ministry of the school.

GOSPEL EVENT TO BE HELD IN CANDO The Cando Arts Council has scheduled the 11th Gospel Extravaganza for Aug. 7 from 1 to 7 p.m. in the Cando City Park. The event will be held in the Audi at Cando if it rains that day. People should bring chairs.

MINOT CHURCH TO HOST VBS, BLOCK PARTY Vacation Bible school will be held Aug. 8-12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily at North Hill Baptist Church, 524-21st Ave. NW. Family night will be Aug. 12, starting at 6:30.

During the "Beach Blast VBS" sessions children age 3 through sixth grade will connect faith and life through Bible stories, crafts, music and games.

A block party, open to the community, will conclude the week of festivities at the church. It is scheduled for Aug. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m.

There will be no charge to attend the VBS or block party.

CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S CLUB MEETING DATE SET Minot Christian Women's Club will meet Aug. 9 from 12:15 to 2 p.m. in the Grand International Inn, Minot. The cost is $10, inclusive.

Guest speaker will be Karla Kolle, of St. Cloud, Minn. Lori Scharmer of the Ward County NDSU?Extension Office, will provide tips and tricks of outdoor cooking. Music will be providd by Bob Lower and Cliff Nelson.

MINOT CHURCH TO CELEBRATE ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 2600 W. Central Ave., will celebrate its 50th anniversary as a parish Aug. 6 with Mass at 5 p.m., followed by a picnic supper and program, including a presentation by John and Megan Ferderer and Kenji Brackins about their experience as "TAPS" mentors.
