The Minot Area Council of the Arts summer concert series Arts in the Parks is slowly coming back online, said Terri Aldrich, executive director for the council.
The patriotic concert by the Minot City Band set for tonight in Oak Park had to be canceled, she said, but other scheduled concerts by The Five of Us at 4 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, and Putnam and Hiller at 7 p.m. on Tuesday will take place as scheduled, but in the Scandinavian Heritage Park.
A Rotary fundraiser planned alongside the Tuesday concert had to be postponed, Aldrich said, but generally, the council is working with artists and performers to keep the concert series going despite changes arising from flooding on the Souris River.
