Submitted Photo - - South Prairie School student Dez’rae Vasquez is the winner of a contest to design the look of the new Ward County Bookmobile.
Brunner said there are a lot of different colors in the design, which features bees, flowers and butterflies and legs and feet going up a staircase with the words "Catch the Reading Bus." In some of the drawings, Dez'rae made the body of a butterfly a book.
Dez'rae received a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble. When the bus is unveiled at the end of the summer, Brunner said the library plans to invite Dez'rae back to have her picture taken in front of her design.
Every school in the library's service area was invited to participate in the contest.
