Souris Valley United Way Youth Board members presented Jeanne LeMay and the Northern Plains Children's Advocacy Center with items such as crayons, coloring books, toys and snacks for their Center.
The Youth Board was developed in 2000 for the purpose of involving area youth in the distribution of granted dollars to meet needs of area youth through various identified programs and projects in the community. The group learns how to maximize funding allocated for submitted grants, develop understanding of granting funds to programs and learn about local non-profit organizations. Youth Board members are seniors, juniors and sophomores from Minot Public Schools, Bishop Ryan High School, and Our Redeemer's Christian School.
