ANNUAL MOTHERS, OTHERS SALAD LUNCHEON PLANNED The annual Mothers and Others salad luncheon will be May 7 at 11:30 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, 1800 Hiawatha St.
The program will be given by the Zion Tintinnabulations Bell Choir.
People are encouraged to bring their favorite salad to share. Bread and dessert will be furnished.
Live plants, which will decorate the tables, will be given away as door prizes.
GRANVILLE UCC CHURCH TO HOST FRIENDSHIP NIGHT Hope Congregational United Church of Christ of Granville will host a Friendship Night Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the church.
Geraldeen Rude, of Minot, will be the guest speaker. Her topic will be "Grandma's Apron."
Refreshments and fellowship will follow the program in the lower level of the church, which is handicapped accessible.
NONDENOMINATIONAL TALKS TO CONTINUE IN MAY Nondenominational Bible Talks are scheduled to be held in the Minot City Auditorium, Room 204, for the Sundays of May 1, 8 and 15 at 4 p.m.
Charlotte Johnson and JoAnn Ernsthausen will conduct these services which are free and open to the public.
NEW SERMON SERIES BEGINNING IN MINOT CHURCH A new sermon series dealing with our fears will begin Sunday at 11 a.m. in North Hill Baptist Church, 524-21st Ave. NW.
The sermons will address how fear is a great barrier to a intimate personal relationship that God desires for everyone. The paralysis which accompanies fear and causes us to question ourselves and our standing before God will also be addressed.
Topics in the "Freedom from Your Fears" series include "The Foundation For No-Fear Living." "Your Future and God's Faithfulness," "Your Failures and God's Grace," "Your Finances and God's Provision," "Your Inadequacy and God's Power," "Your Loneliness and God's Presence," "Overcoming The Fear of Rejection," "Overcoming Your Fear of Commitment," "Overcoming Your Fear of Losing Control" and "Your Guilt and God's Love."
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, YOUTH TO SERVE BREAKFAST Our Lady of Grace Knights of Columbus Council 4894, assisted by parish youth, will served a sausage, scrambled eggs, french toast, pancake and fruit breakfast May 8 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the lower level of the church at 707-16th Ave. SW.
May 8 is also First Communion Sunday at the church.
Proceeds of the freewill offering will be used for council activities.
CHURCH TO HONOR MOTHERS, THEIR FAMILIES WITH BREAKFAST Bible Fellowship Church, 1720-4th Ave. NW, will honor mothers and their families with a free pancake and sausage breakfast May 8 from 8 to 10:15 a.m. in the church.
The breakfast will be prepared and served by the men of the church.
A worship service during which families will be honored will follow at 10:30 a.m.
LUNDSTROMS TO MINISTER IN MINOT CHURCH ON MAY Larry & Gloria Lundstrom will be ministering at the First Assembly of God, 1805-2nd St. SE, May 8 at 8:30 and 11 a.m.
The Lundstroms will present the Gospel along with their ministry in music.
