Winners in the New Century Sertoma Club's "What Freedom Means to Me" essay contest for fifth graders were: Taylor Nygaard, Edison Elementary, first place; Zack Neiss, Lincoln Elementary, second place; and Rylee Womack, Edison Elementary, third place. Students received a National Heritage Essay Certificate, a savings bond, a flag and a copy of the Declaration of Independence.
