Donations from area businesses, organizations and individuals are being sought for the 25th annual Military Affairs Committee Prairie Warrior Competition Auction.
The auction is set for Saturday, March 26, in the Holiday Inn-Riverside in Minot.
The deadline for donations is Friday, March 18, said Betty Fedorchak, auction chairwoman. She has been chairwoman of the auction for 24 of its 25 years.
Preview of auction merchandise the night of the auction will begin at 5:30, with refreshments and hors d'oeuvres served. The auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. There is a $15 charge at the door.
Each year, the event raises thousands of dollars to help with the expenses for Minot Air Force Base competitions. Funds are also used to underwrite events designed to improve the morale of the men and women stationed at Minot AFB.
Every year the donations make the event successful. Donations can be serious, humorous, unusual, imaginative or creative.
