Robert and Edna Belisle of Lansford will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary at an open house Saturday, July 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Lansford Country Club. Their children, Brenda Demke, Minot; Colleen Jacobson, Billings, Mont.; Michael Milkey, Minot; Mark Milkey of Austin, Texas; Randy Belisle, Hanford, Calif.; and Erin Belisle, Portland, Ore., and their families will host the event. The couple requests no gifts.
Edna and Robert were married July 15, 1970, in Zion Lutheran Church in Mohall. He was a teacher and boys basketball coach in Beulah, Lansford and Underwood schools for 14 years. Edna taught remedial reading in Underwood and was a substitute teacher and preschool special needs aide in Mohall. Both are retired after farming in the Lansford area for 29 years. They have seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
