Fourteen providers joining Trinity Health
Trinity's recruitment efforts will result in 14 physicians and other providers moving to the region between now and October. A total of 46 providers have joined Trinity since a wave of recruitment success began a year ago. Fewer than five have left during that time.
Scheduled to begin practice in the coming weeks are: Dr. Ellen Lorange, Dr. Timothy Bedell, Dr. Heather Bedell and Dr. Kimberly Tyner in Obstetrics/Gynecology; Dr. Ryan Hedgepeth in Urology; Dr. Maximo Kiok in Neurology; Dr. Jeffrey Pitcher in Plastic Surgery; Dr. Scott Naum in Gastroenterology; Cami Knapkewicz, WHBC in Women's Health; Dr. William Harvey and Dr. Aaron Lewis in Anesthesia; Dr. Dimon Lamichhane in Hospital Medicine; Trisha Fennerin, FNP in Internal Medicine; and Shawn Brookings, CNM in Nurse Midwifery.
North Dakota Statewide Cancer Registry receives award
The North Dakota Department of Health's Statewide Cancer Registry has received the Gold Standard Certification award for the sixth consecutive year from the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries.
The NAACCR has established gold and silver standard criteria to recognize population-based cancer registeries that achieve excellence in the following areas: completeness of information, data accuracy and timeliness of data submissions. Registry certification ensures that North Dakota's data will be available for publication and various national research studies.
The North Dakota Statewide Cancer Registry, which began cancer data collection in January 1997, supports cancer control by targeting, monitoring and evaluating programs that promote early detection, diagnosis and treatment to reduce the burden of cancer in the state. The NDCR was one of 45 registeries from the United States and Canada to receive the Gold Standard Certification.
