Ashley McCarty and Brock Garaas announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
Their parents are Joanne McCarty of York, and the late John P. McCarty, and John and Karen Garaas, Williston.
Ashley graduated from Leeds High School in 2004 and from the University of Mary in Bismarck in 2008 with an early childhood/elementary education degree. She taught kindergarten the last two years in Crosby.
Brock graduated from Trenton High School in 1998 and from Minot State University-Bottineau in 2000 with a degree in applied science of water technology. He works for the City of Bismarck with Water Distribution.
They will be married Saturday, Aug. 14 at 5 p.m. in Leeds Lutheran Church. A reception and dance will follow in the Leeds Community Center. No invitations are required.
