Mabel Perron of Mohall will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house Saturday, Sept. 19, starting at 2 p.m. in the Mohall Senior Center. Her birthday is Sept. 18. She requests no gifts.
She was born in 1909 in Donnybrook to R.A. and Alice (Workman) Ennis. She was raised in Tagus and attended Tagus Public School and graduated in 1927.
She married Wilfred Perron and they farmed east of Sherwood for several years until they purchased the Sherwood Bar. They raised three children: Dallas Perron, Sherwood; Gayle Williams, Mohall; and the late Boyd Perron, who lived in Bakersfield, Calif. She has 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
They retired and resided in Mohall, where he died in 1986. She still lives in her home in Mohall.
