Patricia Ann Backes and James Robert Ballard were married Aug. 22 in Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas. Their parents are Alice Lizotte, Minot, and the late A.R. Lizotte, and the late James and the late Muriel Ballard.

She is self-employed at A & P Adult Foster Care in Minot. He is employed by ING Service Center in Minot. They live in Minot.
