Melissa Kapsa and Derek Gunter were married May 23 in Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Their parents are Dave and Melody Kapsa, Omaha, Neb., and Dwight and Joan Gunter, Towner.
Attendants for the couple were Cassie Boggs, Kelly Hayes, Catie Blanchard, Marlo Kapsa, Chris Kapsa, Philip Kapsa, Jordan Hilmer and Jacob Hilmer, all Omaha; Rachel Vollmer, Towner; Kayla Vollmer, Jason Vollmer and Seth Vollmer, all Bismarck; Nathan Gunter, Grand Forks; Travis Heilman, Minot.
They are both second lieutenants in the Army. She is currently stationed at Fort Gordon, Ga. He is currently stationed at Fort Benning, Ga.; and will be deployed to Iraq soon.
