Gordon and Ida Mae Smith of Minot and Makoti celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary the weekend of Aug. 7 at a family reunion in Minneapolis.
Ida Mae Starleaf and Gordon Smith were married Aug. 17, 1949, in Minot. They owned and operated Smith Jack and Jill Grocery in Makoti for more than 40 years until they retired.
Their children are Rhonda Smith-Patineau, Minneapolis; Cindy Rubbelke, Minot; and Colleen Stanley, who is deceased. The couple also has eight grandchildren.
