Gladys (Long) Edwards, Parshall, formerly Plaza, will celebrate her 100th birthday at an open house Sunday, Feb. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Rock View Good Samaritan Center, Parshall. She was born to Frank and Christine Long Feb. 10, 1909, in Sawyer. She married Willis Edwards of Plaza June 14, 1956. They raised two sons, James and Olaf Edwards, both Plaza. Gladys has five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Gladys and Willis lived on a farm near Plaza for many years. Later they moved into town. They also spent winters in Arizona. Willis died July 11, 1997. After his death, she continued to live in Plaza until December 2007 when she moved to Parshall where she now lives in the Rock View Good Samaritan Center.
