Theodore "Ted" and Betty (Smith) Schweyen, P.O. Box 83, Berthold, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Thursday, April 24. There will be a Mass at 4:30 p.m. in St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot. Dinner will follow in the church basement. Their children and their families will host the event. Ted worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 45 years and Betty taught school. They have nine children, Theodore Schweyen Jr., Graham, Wash., Jonathan Schweyen and Stephen Schweyen, both of Seattle, Margaret Howey, Katherine LaFontaine and Jean Bryans, all of Minot, Mary Anne Dion, Enumclaw, Wash., William Schweyen, Bonney Lake, Wash., and the late David Schweyen. They also have 35 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
