whistler I certainly don't know this blog, so I'm sure you are correct. Thanks for the warning. I probably won't post much on this topic. I'm on for the Racy book article by Andrea--the book that is listed as a exemplary book by ND Dept of Instruction, complete with sado -masochistic graphic sex for our North Dakota 11th graders. A book selected for ND by Common Core standards in education that are coming down the pike.

I thought this would be an intelligent discussion of the topic but all I see is sophomoric nonsense about the personalities of posters. Do any of you have an astute comment to make on the subject?

The war on terror is essential and takes many forms, here at home and abroad, but can we afford the Homeland Security Budget with its typical federal waste?

Whistler: "You know with all the influence garr and his alias’s have with Bryan O maybe he can get a convention of posters to attend = no doubt would have great national coverage for garr and Rugby and maybe Rachael Maddow could do a fair assessment.

"Love to meet JackA, OldDog, stunning, Loco, Disgusted and the list is just far too long but we could have a blast as versitass would say. Love to see how OldDog ;-) is doing and we could have Wadye Nelson from Hillsboro moderate."

Yes, I do like the many personalities I've "met" here on MDN. Now I can't comment for anyone else, but that convention thing? I just don't know if I could handle that much virtual fun.

:-)

I feel for the families affected by the incident at the DC Navy base. I hope the investigation brings answers.

locomotive: "Saying "vets and children" while leaving off those who are able to work but choose not to limits the argument...in your favor."

willgrr: "and you think they are all liberals?"

It limits the argument, willgrr, the argument. Of course, the recipients are not all liberals...

Veritas, what difference does it make? They died in Katrina and they are dying in Colorado.

Do you pray to stop being a moron -- or have you accepted that this is the Lord's plan for you?

Another thing. Certain people will go on and on about "waste" in gov't, especially Dept. of Defense waste. (Toilet seats)

But what about "waste" in other gov't spending? And what about "fraud?"

I do not mean to insult "veterans and hungry children" but there are examples of waste and fraud in the Dept. of Agric. SNAP program. Let's get Dept. of Agric. as well as Dept. of Defense cleaned up and accountable, shall we?

But wait, there's more. While we're at it, let's clean up ALL gov't waste and fraud and make ALL gov't programs accountable.

What a wonderful world that will be

willgrr, did you read where bdgi said for those who actually need it, he could support that?

For those who don't actually need it, who could be gainfully employed at some kind of job, I don't support life-time SNAP benefits or welfare.

Saying "vets and children" while leaving off those who are able to work but choose not to limits the argument...in your favor.

No surprise there. Another emotional ploy by a liberal.

The flood in Colorado is Obama's fault, just like you blamed Katrina on Bush.

Send the entire Congress and the entire Obama Administration to Syria to fight the war on terror in the Middle East.

It will be supported by the 90 percent of Americans who are tired, sick to death, of this never ending fiasco.

If they want to fight the war on terror so bad, then they can go and fight too. They're all chickenhawks, everyone of them, doesn't matter if they are dumbocrats or rethuglicans, they can fight too.

Diane Feinstein and Chuck Schumer can lead the way with no guns in their hands.

It would be a great day for America.
