What part of 'no' don't you understand?

Walmart can go to Dakota Square and ask for some space there. It has lots of parking, plenty of shoppers, etc. Walmart would benefit.

Walmart seems to want to find property to develop in a predatory manner. In essence, they wait until somebody else builds a development, then later on, they want to locate where new businesses have invested high dollars in development costs, then Walmart sneaks itself into new business developments with every intention to grab market share.

Not an ethical business practice, in my opinion.

Walmart got exactly what it deserved this time around.

Well written letter and to the point. I think in the long run MPF shot itself in the foot as alot of people shop both Wal-Mart and MPF. Therefore it makes no sense to shop north hill then drive to south hill to finish shopping when all the stores are on south hill. Who would spend $15 at MPF when $10 buys the exact same thing at Wal-Mart?

Gee, I wonder if Dr. Whitman, being the owner of the proposed site, might have made millions on the sale! I cannot believe that quotes were used in his comment when they were not verified first.

minotrocks... how do you know the quotes weren't verified or if they were just paraphrases? After all this is an opinion page.

I guess expansion is good except for if you are going to step on the wrong toes. MP wants a monopoly and they pretty much have it. You can't tell me that MP didn't have some nudge on the vote. Why didn't they just say no in the first place and not waste Walmarts time.
