The IRS’ abuse of power

May 27, 2013

Rest assured that if liberal political organizations had been harassed last year by the Internal Revenue Service, heads would have rolled, on President Barack Obama’s orders....

Well, you can sure tell when the far right is losing their grip on the made up problems. Come to find out the FBI supoenas for the Fox news man was out lined to fox news three years ago. Guess we will not hear about that too often. And now the FAR right press needs to dig into the IRS so called scandal. What about the applicants who apply for status and lie about their intentions: {As part of our reporting on dark money in 2012, ProPublica looked at more than 100 applications for IRS recognition. One thing we noted again and again: "Groups tell the IRS that they are not going to spend money on elections, receive IRS recognition, and then turn around and spend money on elections"} Now there is the real scandal- just ask the Koch's or Karl Rover with Crossroads... Now there is the real problem.

Extreme terrorists who claim to be members of the Muslim/Islam religion are feigning religious beliefs to promote and excuse rampant murder of Christians and those of the Jewish faith. If they come to live here in the United States, they need to believe and follow our freedom of religion that is written in the Constitution.

Maybe the IRS can investigate themselves, like Eric Holder is investigating himself. What a joke.

NoTea4Me consistently uses the disparaging, vulgar term "tea baggers'. One has to wonder how he knows so much about the term. Not saying being gay is wrong. But he should make a disclaimer statement that he obviously is gay before using a derogatory homosexual term when posting comments. Have a good day!

Excellent posts, rajii. It is unfortunate that a factual presentation would be challenged by the non-factual wingers like hypocrite.

Now, Billydontgetit, if it is wrong, then surely you could prove it by not only showing the factual information but also the citations where we could also look it up. We won't hold our breath waiting since you cannot do it.

Speaking of abuse of power . . .

This supposed "community newspaper" is nothing more than a mouthpiece for the rabid, right-wing Republicans who daily pick our pockets.

The MDN complaining about an abuse of power is like Rick Berg complaining about a slumlord.

So, billdon'tevererenevergetit.... you must have been hiding behind the barn door when the facts came out on Acorn. I suppose you are a birther too... that would make sense based on your inane comments. Acorn was a bunch of lies put forth by the right wing media to stir up their base. Obviously, bill, you swallowed it too. You still don't have any facts to refute the comments even though you said they were false... haha on you.

Really, Veritas? You would just call Christie Fat. You don't think you have some real old ones to sort out of your herd. The newbies only lie. Brought up right to your standard.

Billbillbill-little bill... get a grip... You don't find facts from right wing sources. The Acorn group was exonerated with facts. The right wing is group of liars..I am sure that you believe the IRS was after law abiding groups. almost every one of the right wing groups that applied for tax exempt status violated the law by not following the rules. They were political and actually, the IRS should be prosecuting them and sending their organizers to jail. Just a bunch of liars...Oh, and Acorn was innocent. You dolt.

Do you ever have any idea what Acorn actually does, bullyboy... I doubt it. Was it not in Ohio that an Acorn employee got paid a hundred grand from a right wing liar who edited the tapes to try to discredit the group? I believe so. All across the country, acorn helped people but you chicken poo wingers were so afraid that those people would vote liberal that you filled your shorts. You and your views on Acorn are a crock and a big bunch of lies, but you deal in that stuff exclusively, don't ya bullyboy.

WA Post 5-15-13 "We already know that the IRS developed “inappropriate criteria” in flagging for review more than 90 Tea Party groups that were applying for tax-exempt status as 501(c)(4)s. But did any liberal groups receive heavy scrutiny, or did they get a free pass?

"Some new reporting from Bloomberg suggests that at least three Democratic-leaning groups faced similar inquiries from the IRS..."

90 to 3?

Is that all there is?

18 workers billllll, that is awesum...Gosh, they might just swing a national election.... But, you could overlook 4500 conservative groups that filed for 503 c status only to violate the laws immediately...Now, that can help a dufus like Romney lose by more than five percent.

rajii, who is limpman? who cares? Why don't you just look up actual facts, and quit spouting how much you think you know? And try both sides instead of just one side. That might help a bit.

PolitiFact seems to be a mixed bundle of positive and negative for both parties. Their Truth-O-Meter rates statements from both Reps and Dems as to their veracity.

billdoesntGETit (yeah, not the imposter) was right in his citation of Pres. Obama's percentage.

Lots of compelling info, willgrr. Be bipartisan and share ALL of it.

So, what else is new when you have a corrupt, criminal government that preys on its citizens?

Note to Steve:
